Hello, so I am about to work on Care  Escape for the scare me shakeless jam.

Care Escape is my first 3d game in the godot engine. The target for what it should be is a game in which you try to escape the building, while having to care for monsters to avoid getting eaten.

A major feature is the light toggle in which you hit a switch that turns on a light for a period of time. While the light is on a monster will only attack if it is hungry. The light being off should make the building scarier, and will change what seem like cute animals into beasts.

So the first thing I did was setup the project and attach a script which backs up the code automatically. I will be attaching the relevant scripts to these logs if I can.

I had decided to structure things in a more scene oriented structure as opposed to my usual one script method.

To start off with the title screen

I decided, that I wanted a gag warning followed by an actual warning.

This is a pleasant game.

Be careful not to die from the sweetness.

Be aware it is graphic, and may irritate conditions related to fear.

The logo I decided to make half cute, and half malicious. Thus I made care bubbly and pink, and escape as a dark red and have sharp points.

I decided to make the background a gradient between pink and black.

I chose to make these little drifting icons to add some motion to the start screen, so I drew a pink bunny, then I realized with a slight change I could make it look somewhat spooky.

Within the data, is the devlogs folder with some copies of various versions of the code.
